My Current role in CRES is Operations Lead and Operational Risk and Premises risk reporting into the head of CRES for Africa. The role includes 5 direct reports and my current responsibilities include strategy development and execution and the day to day running of the operations across the continent including the disciplines of real estate, engineering, facilities management, capital projects. Key accountabilities at a functional Corporate Real Estate level include spend and approval governance and control, business unit finance management, large outsource contract commercial oversight (>R2bn including pass through), procurement strategy and delivery oversight and overall Capital investment plan tracking and commercial/budget oversight. I am also responsible for operational and premises risk across the entire portfolio including occupational health and safety. The current portfolio under management is 1 million square meters (10 million square feet) located across 10 African countries (South Africa, Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Uganda, Ghana, Seychelles and Zambia)with a R4 billion ($266 million) operating budget and a Capital investment plan of R1bn ($66 million) per annum.
