  EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT and maintenance of facilities housing the 560 staff of the Technical Secretariat for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons • Manage service contracts and ensure high standard of service • Plan and maintain schedules of preventative maintenance.• Contingency plans made for emergencies including establishing quick response contracts. • Day to day maintenance and repairs are promptly attended to minimizing interference with organizational operations.• Provide a Help Desk facility to staff for handling service requests and ensure prompt and professional service.• Manage the insurance cover for the facilities and assets.PREPARE BUDGET required for the forthcoming year based on the work plan and prepare budget submission. Manage record and report on expenditure against the established budget.MAINTAIN INVENTORY OF ASSETS and attractive items performing 100% physical verification of non-expendable assets annuallyReviewing redundant and irreparable assets regularly and submitting for write off.SPACE PLANNING Ensure efficient use of available space inline with Developing proposals standards to be appliedSUSTAINABILITY PRACTICES Research and implement sustainable practices in all section operations. Conduct energy audit on building. Review current practices to ensure environmental responsibility. Help to support a culture of sustainability in the organization.
