Responsible for Building the Managed Services desk; writing policy, workflow and procedures, as well as hiring, scheduling, and management of Managed Services personnel. Working with RMM tools (SolarWinds N-Able), multiple auditing platforms, and a wide range of different environment, running MS Server OS ranging from 2008-2012r2, with a wide array of different configurations and suites, ranging from vCenter, Veeam, SQL, to proprietary and uniquely configured industry software suites.

Responsible for assisting the engineering team with developing solutions for multiple business needs that any of the satellite companies may have, over a wide range of jobsite environments, and inter company, and vendor partnerships. Responsibilities also include assisting users in day to day issues they have, provisioning new hires in the environment (MS AD Domain), and leveraging the myriad of MS resources available to automate redundant tasks and bulk tasks in the environment., which includes utilizing systems such as the System Center suite, Powershell, and other MS systems (Orchestrator, Configuration Manager, etc.). Work with MS Data Protection Manager (DPM) for backup and redundant solutions.

First ARINC, before being purchased by Rockwell Collins, I was responsible for the deployment of new airlines, new airport contracts, new software packages and software package updates for airlines. Focus for this department includes server 2003/2008r2/XP/WIN7, Active Directory, security groups and permissions, directory security permissions, network configuration (switch/router programming), DOS batch file scripting, DFS and a host of other administrative systems functions. All airline specific Terminal Emulators, from Amadeus, Sabre, Babel, HTE, etc. Specializing in virtualization and the ARINC iMuse and vMuse/vMuse Enterprise platforms and proprietary peripheral knowledge, including pcp32 and perch32. Intimate knowledge of the IATA specs and requirements, AEA specs and requirements, gateway configurations and airport/airline network operations. Break/Fix and continued support until handoff is also a standard responsibility of Systems Deployment Engineers at ARINC.

Manage day to day operations of an over 30 server Wide Area Network. Monitor the health/functionality of the network, analyze data to determine best ways to continue to increase network performance to meet district demand. Work through a Help-Desk database of work orders, with other members of the IT team, in order to resolve a myriad of technical issues, ranging from desktop support to switch programming, network wide software deployment, and including the deployment of new VoIP phone systems. Consult and advise Administration on network infrastructure and architecture for remodel/renovation projects and new buildings. Oversee updates, deployment and management of 1,200+ Windows 7 workstations across the WAN, administrate over 5,000 users in Active Directory and develop, implement and execute security policy through Active Directory and Group Policy Objects. Establish structured network directories and “shared” network resources, allowing users to share documents, projects and files in a secure network space controlled by granular security groups. Develop network reports for traffic and storage to determine the best expansion policies for the future.

Worked to resolve client work orders in an effective and productive manner, while also determining which work orders to rout and escalate to varying consultants and specialists at the firm. Supported a variety of clients through on-site visits in Tulsa and the greater Tulsa area, as well as remote support for clients out of state. Work orders ranged from desktop repair and basic Windows troubleshooting, to remote server maintenance and weekly server log reports.Daily responsibilities included, troubleshooting Windows XP/Vista/MS Small Business Server, Office 2000/2003/2007; on-site resolution and client assurance; checking server logs for Service Level Agreement clients and filing any findings with the appropriate consultants. Assist consultants in large deployment projects for clients (at times required travel), manage and log consultant billable hours in database.
