Administration and Architecture of Active Directory and domain controllers in multiple forests and domains for a global client.

Active Directory Domain and Forest Upgrade

Administration of Active Directory, Windows Server Environment and VMware Environment as well as daily maintenance of Headquarters and remote site Data Centers and their associated physical servers, switches, routers and cabling. Assisted in the creation of new virtual environments as well as the ongoing projects of Physical to Virtual machines and environments. Creaion of new Blackberry environment, Maintenance environment and upgrade of Fax server through virtual environment. Took on daily maintenance of user/desktop environment as well as maintaining project outlines and upgrades.

Support of global Active Directory environment and multiple datacenters for Colorcon, Inc. Duties include but not limited to Maintenance Servers and Applications, Backup specifications and management, upgrade of Blackberry Enterprise Server environment, upgrade of Captaris RightFax Server environment, creation and maintenance of VMWare environment along with servicing of UPS systems, Servers, Switches and Cabling at local and remote sites.

Support 300 users both on-site and remote with some issues surrounding Windows XP Professional, corporate software such as SAP, Sharepoint Document Control, Microsoft Office and Adobe products. Research, develop and implement strategies to overcome the unique challenges presented by the business client base and the remote client base. The position involves client-facing activities and interaction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overcoming technology based challenges in day-to-day operations, development of client strategy for on and off site workers and security of client programs in all environments.

Manage and facilitate IT issues to resolution, while identifying and documenting root cause of problems to share across client base. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; network connectivity and email; repair and recovery for network devices; data backup and restore issues; miscellaneous device support; remote desktop management; software installation, resolution and training. Provide hardware and software solutions for onsite and offsite laptops, desktops and local and networked printers and copiers. Provide executive support of laptops, desktops, local and networked printers, audio/visual break/fix and conference room preparation on a weekly rotating schedule.

Served as the initial point of contact for resolution of desktop/workgroup-related problems in a 200-user environment. Responsibilities included troubleshooting, research, diagnosing, documenting, and resolving technical issues surrounding Windows NT, Windows 2000 Professional, MS Office, e-mail, Internet connections, and hardware/peripherals.Technical achievements:Set up workstations and laptops for new and current employees; configure systems, ensure network connectivity, and install and test hardware and software.Demonstrated ability to independently recognize, isolate, and resolve complex technical problems.
