My area of responsibility became Operations, Risk and Compliance. Achievements in my new General Manager role include:- Playing a substantive role in enabling the sale of GMI to Kiwi Wealth Management and, as part of the senior management team, managing a successful integration post-sale.- Implementing significant regulatory and compliance changes, including achieving compliance with Global Investment Performance Standards and overseeing the change of external audit to ISAE3402 standard and the overseeing the implementation of GMI’s AML programme.- Leading GMI’s review of its custodian arrangements and managing the subsequent change of custodian.- Designing and implementing significant product enhancements to KiwiSaver scheme.- Supervising the development of GMI’s business continuity plan.- Managing the review of GMI’s core portfolio management system and gaining Board approval for an upgrade to a new system.- Acting as an account manager for select high net worth clients.
