I have over 20 years working as a Software Engineer (Software Programmer / Developer) with a wide variety of experience in multi-discipline environments.I have mostly worked as a Windows forms based Desktop developer using C++ and Delphi (Pascal) but have completed short projects in various other programming languages including Python, Visual Basic, Visual C++ and C#.In that sense I am a Full-stack developer who is able to work with both the front and back ends of an application – this means I can undertake projects that involve user interfaces, communication protocols and SQL databases. I also have the ability to work on Embedded Real time systems - even though my experience is not recent it would be fairly easy to slip into such a role with some minimal training on the specific embedded programming tools at hand.I have a lot of experience with testing software, proprietary embedded devices and 3rd party interfaces. As well as significant remote support & troubleshooting of complex systems.I’ve also shown that I can effectively liaise with clients during the planning and implementation of projects.I can self-manage independent projects or work as part of a collaborative team effort.During my programming career I have proven that I am very adaptable and a strong lateral-thinker who can truly think outside the box when needed. I also have a creative side which helps with everything from GUI design to troubleshooting difficult problem spaces.
