As an Instrumentman for a land surveying company I worked all aspects of survey projects, including field data collection with either conventional survey instruments or GPS, reconnaissance for H/V control or property corner evidence, field stakeout of proposed routes or future construction, and technical support as needed. I operate the following land surveying equipment: Trimble Robotics, Trimble GPS, Topcon Instrucment, and Trimble VRS. My project experience includes: National Habor, Boulevard at the Capital Center, Bowie Town Center, Ryderwood Village, and ICC.My duties include working primarily in the field on control, topographic surveys, and pipeline surveys on a two or three-person field crew; cutting and removing brush and undergrowth for line of sight; performing mathematical calculations and field checking of field data; read and understood plans and specifications; have basic knowledge of land surveying units of measurements and sources of measurement errors; dug ground using a pick, shovel and other hand tools to search for and locate survey monuments; used plumb rod in obtaining elevations and distances; drove stakes to set grades on construction projects, and peformed other duties as assigned.

I worked part-time at Yellow Freight as a truck jockey. My responsibilities included: Complete trailer sanitation prior to reloading, preparation disposal of trash, sweeping, pressure washing, etc.; proper handling of all return merchandise, disposal of damage, logging and recording all items into or out of stock. Placement of vendor board items, cross reference to return overage sheet and returned R/As; accountability and storage for all loadbars and bulkheads. Placement of handtrucks on particular routes. Maintain and repair reasonable damage to loadbars and handtrucks; ensured all doors had locks on trailers prior to being relieved or leaving for the shift; moved equipment in and around the yard for loading and unloading purposes; hooked and unhooked equipment prior to daily dispatch; notified management for repairs or possible problems that arise during the shift; stored equipment in a safe area prior to dispatch to minimize the possible damage through outside vendors utilitizing the yard. I conducted inspections to incoming equipment, minimizing unreported damage done overnight at the dock or while on route; picked up local backhauls when necessary, as well as pallets for delivery to vendors; during emergency situations I ran local specials and routes as needed.
