As Emergency Management Area Coordinator at PEMA, my primary responsibility was overseeing all operational aspects of the Commonwealth Response Coordination Center (CRCC) - commonly known as the State Emergency Operations Center. Responsibilities included:• Administering the Commonwealth’s crisis management system - WebEOC.• Serving as Resource Support Section Chief (Operations Chief) during CRCC activations.• Providing reports and briefings to PEMA executive leadership.• Developing and maintaining curriculum for watch officer and agency representative training.• Developing and reviewing policy and procedures for the CRCC and watch center.• Ensuring standards for Emergency Management Accreditation are maintained.• Formulating goals and objectives consistent with the agency’s strategic plan.• Designing, developing, and supporting incident management solutions within WebEOC for the Governor’s Office, PA Department of Health, PA Department of Human Services, and PA Department of Education regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a watch officer for PEMA, I primarily gathered, analyzed, and documented relevant incident and disaster information from across the Commonwealth. This time-critical information was then disseminated to leadership and various government agencies.
