Works with the Building Automation System (BAS) team to address Mechanical and Electronic corrections and modifications to the Hospital HVAC system. Monitors the BAS front end to search for anomalies in temperature, humidity, and pressure control in buildings. Creates trending records to analyze data and optimize performance. Modifies programming as required to suit occupant needs. Commissions new additions to ensure adherence to specifications and to test functionality. Investigates building systems and documents operational data. Prepares recommendations for system improvements, maintenance programs and evaluations. Aids the onsite building operations team in the daily trouble-shooting and repairs of mechanical systems, especially the Building Automation System (BAS). This work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Engineering Operations, under the technical oversight of the Senior Engineering Project manager, and the daily oversight of the hospital Maintenance Manager.

Truck based Controls Technician for the O&M team, responsible for completing contractual weekly/bi-weekly service visits for Johns Hopkins University East Baltimore Campus, Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, and Loyola University. Also respond to unscheduled service calls and emergency after hours calls for additional sites, such as Mercy Hospital, National Aquarium in Baltimore, Baltimore City Government, and Backriver Waste Water Treatment Plant.Duties include troubleshooting, programming, commissioning, calibrating, wiring, and installing/upgrading new hardware and software.

Monitored and responded to Metasys, Siemens, Fireline/ARK, and Andover BAS alarms. Took all general maintenance calls for Facilities Management.

Processed and installed new computers. Partitioned and imaged new computers. Mapped network drives. Degaussed obsolete hard drives. Updated end-user software as necessary.
