I have been a middle school general music teacher and choral director for 24 years. I have won numerous choral awards and have written for various music education publications and journals. As a teacher my responsibilities included, but were not limited to, writing curriculum, creating and revising lesson plans to accommodate students of all learning styles, writing grants, budgeting, directing musicals and shows, mentoring teachers and students and creating and administrating professional development content to faculty and staff.As a choral director I have worked with, produced and arranged music for groups of various ages and voicings. My choirs have participated in various events, festivals, competitions and adjudications. We have won numerous gold medal MICCA awards (Massachusetts Instrumental and Choral Conductors Association), ranked superior and expectational at many music festivals and competitions. Throughout my years of service I have raised over $85,000 for charities, including the American Red Cross, Cradles to Crayons, My Brother's Table and local food pantries.
