I also assist the newsroom in researching various stories and issues affecting the state of New Mexico, and pitching stories for our news programming. From time to time, I will also write entire packages to be tracked by anchors. I have also produced special projects including a program for the 2020 Census in New Mexico. -

I selected, prepared, and wrote the stories that aired on the program. In addition, I also assigned stories to reporters, kept track of breaking news around the El Paso metro area, and worldwide during overnight hours. On occasion, I also edited and shot video for the show. In one incident where an audio operator did not show up to work, I also ran the audio board for my own show on top of producing. -
