Robert Turner is a healthcare founder, author, and editor. His passion for ensuring global access to equitable and accessible healthcare led to the formation of Medika Life, a digital publication focused on healthcare policy and opinions from leading voices within the industry. Robert retained a role in Medika Life as Editor Emeritus after the successful sale of the publication in 2021.To further patients' access to their PHI, in late 2021 Robert founded MedKoin, a blockchain-based suite of healthcare solutions set to launch in early 2023. Built for Web3.0, these patient-focused applications will offer the public a real voice in the patient/provider relationship. For the first time, patients will be able to profit from their health data, engage in the processes affecting their care and acquire real ownership of their PHI.In January of 2023, Robert launched Clinics IV Life, a hybrid not for profit project designed to deliver maternal care to indigent communities in Africa, Asia and the U.S. Currently, every 16 seconds a child is stillborn and every two minutes a mother dies in childbirth. Estimates suggest up to 90% of these deaths are avoidable with access to care. With the pilot clinic under construction in the Philippines, Clinics IV Life aims to establish an additional 9 sites by the end of 2025, offering annual care to over 10 000 mothers and newborn from self sustaining sites.
