Contract employee at DRS, Ft. Walton Bch FL. responsible for redesign of Power Interface/ Triggering Unit chassis and increase functional capabilities on the P5 Pod. Chassis had to meet EMI requirements and packaging power supplies, VME card cage, CCA, internal cabling and discreet wiring into a 2U chassis. Assigned to Checking dept. for 2 months to help with backlog of checking work. Reworked five Power Distributions Rack Assemblies for shipboard installation.

Responsible for generating complex designs, large assembly drawings, weldments, communication systems equipment and weapons systems equipment for the military and commercial customers using Pro-E Wildfire 4.0. Also completion of accurate layouts to satisfy customer design reviews. Responsibilities included the evaluation of assignment packages for feasibility, missing data, time estimates, and material and personnel requirements. Responsible for resolving drawing issues and coordinate the implementation of changes to ensue compliance with customer requirements. Assignments required an in-depth knowledge of DOD Standards, Documentation procedures, and Geometrical Tolerance. Provide technical guidance to lower level engineering personnel. Received an Award as Single Contributor for a complex redesign chassis that was a 5U chassis down to a 2U chassis. Customer had issued a stop work order before they were given the Prototype Chassis. After customer saw the redesigned chassis they re-awarded the Contract to Harris, Contact valued at approximately $18M. Digital Photography Systems (Amusement Park Applications)Responsible for Designs, Layouts and Technical Reports for Ride Photo Systems, which included complete building designs, integrated electronics for the System Operations and Cash out, and Photo Processing.
