Due to a continuing decline in print volume, Quad had a round of layoffs in December 2023 in which I was let go.While searching for a full-time engineering position, I volunteered in FIRST Robotics Competition for the 2024 competition season as a mentor for Team 537 Charger Robotics in Sussex, Wisconsin and as a robot inspector at the Wisconsin Regional in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas.

● Reallocated 640 engineering hours to profitable projects by completing 57 engineering change orders ● Reduced 4-year backlog of engineering change orders by 58%, achieving Spacesaver’s target level● Modified 3D models and 2D drawings of various sheet metal parts and assemblies in Creo Parametric 4● Maintained revision-controlled iterations of updates to CAD files in Windchill PDM software● Utilized IFS ERP system to view and update part data, change order procedures, and previous purchases

● Engineered subassembly-swap retrofit replacing the existing magazine mechanism to process envelopes● Designed new components to adapt existing equipment for incorporation of modern elements● Sourced replacement servos and gearboxes to enable retrofitting vital discontinued robotic cranes● Reconfigured shaft and scanner placements to ensure operation consistent with original configuration ● Calculated replacement belt lengths using manufacturer software tools and hand calculations● Collaborated with engineering, assembly, and maintenance teams to gather their project input● Reutilized existing machine components during retrofit to maintain cost-efficiency and reduce waste● Created CAD models and drawings in Creo Parametric 8 for manufacturability and ease of editing
