Every summer, a group of Harvard Sustainability Master's Degree Program students from different countries, ages and experiences, gather for an intensive 3-week field course I help teach with Alison Sant. "Resilient Communities From the Ground Up" course is a labor of love Alison and I share, growing out of the research and writing of "From the Ground Up" book (Island Press, 2022).

Research for "From the Ground Up: The Local Movement to Create Resilient Cities", an upcoming Island Press book by Alison Sant describing 12 transformative, cross-sector climate adaptation experiments in major US cities, initiated by civic movements in intersections of sustainable mobility, shoreline adaptation, urban forestry and equitable public space development.
