Robert joined Birse in 1994 as a Section Engineer and worked his way through the ranks gaining experience on a range of projects from £2 to £25 million. Roberts first project as Project Manager for Birse was £2.7 million Currys at Croydon in 1997 and his last was £15 million mixed Residential and Business Development at Mortlake. Robert gained experience in a wide variety of roles within the business including tendering and regional defect management and retention release.

Self employed Site Engineer/Manager. Robert carried out site engineering and management duties for a variety of contractors from small sub-contractors to national main contractors including Balfour Beatty, Countryside, Amey and Willmott Dixon, gaining a wide and varied experience and understanding of the construction process.
