- Oversaw and implemented SOP’s for intermodal across North America for Maersk/Safmarine/Sealand operation during Gulf Coast transition to off shore work and centralize in Charlotte, NC.- Moving over 100 containers per week. Oversaw logistics for import and export. Oversaw a budget of $4 million for 2015 and kept spend under budget despite tough trucking market in 2014.- Supervised operations in Tacoma, Portland, Houston, New Orleans, Mobile, and key clients such as Kimberly Clark, Oxy Chemical, Goodman Manufacturing, and Nike. Ran reports and sent to key stakeholders avoiding any per-diems or container demurrage. - Oversaw logistics for import and export dept for Maersk with a team of 10-12. Able to keep under budget 2% from 2013 spend at a cost of $21 million. Maintained costs and reduce overall spend in North America through network efficiencies and robust ad-hoc procurement initiatives. Developed key relationships with vendors and partnered them with customers to gain efficiencies within Maersk network- Ensured Rail Billing and HAZ documents were in proper order and given to rail vendors for timely and accurate movement. Including reports to avoid any idle cargo due to odd 20ft containers, blocking and bracing, or restricted rail commodity issues.- Ensured delivery teams provided high service levels to external and internal customers through quarterly customer experience survey and the ability to offer solutions to satisfy stakeholders while maintaining costs.- Led Green Belt project to reduce dry run costs in North America. Project was ultimately cancelled due to low costs associated with project. PDSA did show 10,000.00 improvement based on run charts.- Resolved vendor/customer disputes. Required written back up and knowledge of SAP software.
