From March 2001 to 2010, I volunteered services as an audio and video technical liaison for Starfish 2 LLC, a company dedicated to building community through the arts, with a focus on serving the metro Denver homeless and mentally ill communities. Founded by the late Dr. David Babak, a therapist in the Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network, and assisted by John Briggs of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Starfish 2 projects have included the recording, mixdown, mastering and release of the "Starfish on Broadway" commercial music CDs in November 2003 and June 2011, featuring both homeless and mentally ill artists and their creations. I served as the primary audio technician for that project, engineering many of the recording and mixdown sessions and co-producing the discs with Dr. Babak.A principal project of Starfish 2 was the production of the seven-years-running "Starfish on Broadway" program on Denver community access television. Our first broadcast was Jan 25, 2003, produced in the Five Points studios of DCTV. Running once a month as a half hour live broadcast, the program was broadcast continuously through September 2010, save for the transition period from the Five Points Media Center studios to the hosting studios of Denver Open Media (DOM) at 7th and Kalamath.For the entire run of the "Starfish on Broadway" program, I served as the hands-on technical producer in the control room responsible for both the audio and the video of the live broadcasts.

As a Level II support technician, I provided advanced hardware and software technical assistance for all Sprint-supported wireless solutions, including cellphones, wireless modems, broadband cards and hotspots, telemetry hardware, and notepad, notebook and laptop computers with embedded broadband accessibility chips or modules..

Data Transforms was the developer of several graphics and typesetting software packages for Apple II, MS-DOS, and UNIX-based machines. As the first employee of this start-up software venture, I participated in product design, development, production planning, marketing, support, and all day-to-day operations. Responsibilities and accomplishments included: providing technical liaison to other high-tech companies and development partners, including Okidata, Tektronix, Xerox (Diablo Div.), Epson America, AT&T, Zebra Technologies, Toshiba America, Intermec, Panasonic, and British Telecom; providing international telephone support to more than 10,000 customers in more than 30 countries; writing the device driver components of Data Transforms' commercial software products for more than 150 hardcopy output devices.

Triple Helix was a professional 16-track audio recording studio.As co-founder and co-owner, I provided technical expertise in the purchase, installation, and systems integration of audio electronics equipment. As hands-on audio engineer from setup to recording and mixdown, I additionally rendered electronic diagnostic and equipment maintenance services for the studio.

Schnadig Corporation manufactured and shipped upholsteredfurniture. I had sole responsibility for shipping, receiving, andinventory management for an inventory of 100,000+ parts stored in three Denver locations.

My work at Billings was temporary student employment. I shared the responsibility for maintaining the library of 7,000,000 X-ray serials used in the diagnosis and research of various carcinomas, sarcomas, and lymphomas. My duties there included pulling serials on physician's request and refiling serials on their return. I also shared the responsibility for pulling old, cancer-negative serials from the library and collecting said serials for a silver recovery project.
