Built a constraint-based prototype system for automatically extracting metadata (using LOM schema) from SCORM based courses (Oz programming language). Designed and built a system for testing and comparing several methods for automatically detecting distress in blogs of cancer patients using both natural language processing (supervised and unsupervised text classification) and quantitative analysis techniques (Java).

Implemented full morphological lemmatizer (resulting stems are true English words). Created general tool to stem inflected English words. Reimplemented and enhanced ADtree (for efficient representation of statistical information) in Mozart/Oz programming language. Refined methods for using constraint programming techniques for natural language problems.
