As an appointed certified Town Inspector of Weights and Measures; I conduct annual inspections, and tests of various scales, and gas pumps, to ensure accuracy in the interest of consumers, pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws within Chapter 98 and sections that follow. In addition, I may be called upon to inspect retail products on shelves in regards to pricing with the use of store scanners, and other methods. I maintain records of all tests, and inspections and submit monthly reports of the businesses I inspected and the results. Within these duties; I also maintain open communications, to the Division of Standards, and State Inspectors to report or, inquire on certain consumer matters.

As a sworn elected constable, with the power of sheriff to aid in the execution of duties; I am called upon to serve judicial process, to include but not limited to; Summons', Subpoenas, Capias (civil arrest orders), Eviction Notices, Warrants, Writs of Execution, Execution to take possession, and all other process directed to me by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts-Department of Revenue, District and Probate Trial Courts, Attorney's, private parties, or, otherwise. On a frequent basis; I conduct surveillance, along with other officer's, to determine ideal times to apprehend defendant's sought on arrest orders, by courts in this Commonwealth. I also participate in assisting other constable's in multi-jurisdictions using my expertise in effecting service on process, directed to their office. In addition, I train and mentor many other newly appointed officer's with regard to the duties of the office, and the service of court and legal process.

Conduct private investigations, covert surveillance, and other means, to discover activities of subjects; for use in identifying wrong doing, criminal activities, or, to support theories and allegations. Provide criminal defense investigations to court-appointed Attorneys'. Locate and interview witnesses of alleged felony crimes; review police reports, court documents, evidence, and other case information to determine course of investigation and and maintain electronic case notes in support of providing a good defense.. Perform other related duties in uncovering facts, and document those findings with the use of electronic surveillance equipment, video and digital photographic cameras, and writing concise reports to be used as case work product. Serve subpoenas'​ and summonses' and testify in criminal proceedings, as the case investigator. Participate in marketing investigative services. Bridgewater State University Bridgewater, Ma.

Secure student residential halls by; monitoring entrances, checking packages and bags of guests, and students entering the halls. Provide protection in the way of observing and reporting any unusual activities or, safety issues, in and around these facilities. Maintain cooperation of all persons who enter and or, depart from residential halls. Record all activities by entering data on internal programs and report incidents to the supervisor or, campus police. I attended required training at the time of hire which included; safety and security measures on a campus environment, and within the housing of students, as well as, CPR and first responder training.

Massachusetts

Under contract with the Federal Protective Service. Provided security and protection at federal facilities while armed. Control point of entry in each facility, and screen incoming visitors using magnetometers, visual observations, and verbal inquiries. Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and maintain order in and around assigned facilities. Patrolled assigned areas on foot, control visitor foot traffic and inspect areas of concern. Prevent and detect unusual or criminal activity at each facility, and engage with visitors to ensure safety and security policies are followed. Provided judicial consultation for the service of court process to constables'​ and manage field operations for these same officers. Act as a liaison to plaintiffs', and utilize effective communication to de-escalate potential situations, with defendants and recipients of court action. Maintain record of all incoming and outgoing services, as well as, assist in the field with complex court matters.(This flexible position allowed me to attend schooling on an accelerated basis to complete a terrorism course in just a little over one year).

Brockton, Ma.

As a sworn municipal officer; served and executed judicial process-effected arrests on warrants and capias-enforced Laws and Statutes-carried out the orders of the criminal, civil, and probate courts; all while training, mentoring, and supervising a staff of five to seven constables'​ from multiple jurisdictions. . This group, generally under my supervision, and through a cooperative effort; engaged in undercover surveillance, serving and executing judicial process, enforced court orders, and effected arrests on warrants, within a unit-team environment. In addition; I managed the office, distributed a large case-load, and mediated conflicts that arise in the course of serving process. This unique unit comprised of officers' of varying backgrounds, enjoyed great success in apprehending defendants' and recipients of court defaults, without incident, and in the face of adversity.

Plymouth County

Provided criminal defense investigations for up to twelve Public Defenders for the Plymouth County district. Located and interviewed witnesses to alleged crimes, reviewed evidence, police reports, and other court documents to determine direction of an investigation. Confered with Attorneys'​ to assist in their representation of indigent clients, and trial preparation. Wrote detailed investigation reports and testified in court as needed. Served subpoenas' and all criminal process directed to my office. Attended annual seminars, and training, to maintain current investigative techniques. Conducted multiple investigations of alleged felony crimes at the same time, and successfully worked on hundreds during my tenure.

Obery Heights Plymouth, Ma.

Warrant Apprehension, Internal Affairs, Civil Process Serving, Support to Federal, State, and Local Agencies, and Honor Guard duties. Conducted investigations to locate and apprehend persons sought on warrants. Became successful in the apprehension of criminals, fugitives, and defendants, without incident. With the use of confidential informants was able to re-capture violent escapees in over seven cases, while a member of the department's fugitive team. Conducted confidential internal investigations to uncover dishonest or, fraudulent practices in receiving workman's compensation. Worked special plain clothes details both with the U.S. Marshals Service, and worked for a period of time with the Massachusetts State Police gang unit Troopers. Participated in giving assistance with locating and apprehending wanted persons to the District Attorneys' Office in Norfolk, and Plymouth Counties, as well as; worked cooperatively with detectives and uniformed officers' on many occasions to obtain information, evidence, and the whereabouts of suspects of crimes. Trained and rode with BCI for a period of time responding to crime scenes and accident scenes. Also, worked as a Corrections Officer for a period of approximately one year which included; maintaining security and controlling the prison population in a Pod type unit. Throughout my tenure, I trained Honor Guard deputies in the execution of ceremonies, and firing party duties; to honor deceased law-enforcement officers', upon passing, Veterans on Memorial Day, and Veteran's Day. Appointed to the position of the Firing Party Commander.

Ft. Myer, Virginia/Arlington National Cemetery/White House

From Dec 7 1982 to March 1983- Attended basic training and advanced infantry training at Ft. Benning, GA. At the completion of training, I was permanently assigned to the "Old Guard" the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment just outside of Washington D.C. performing duties that included; Firing Party Team Member, Infantry Soldier and Escort to the Honorable Ronald Reagan. I held the highest top-secret clearance that enabled me to escort foreign Dignitaries, high ranking military officers, Heads of State, Senators', Congressman, and the President of the United States. In addition; this unit performed ceremonies at the White House, Arlington National Cemetery, and held Sentinel vigilance at the sacred and honored Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Also, during my tenure as a soldier; I was required to periodically train in combat infantry proficiency, riot control, and high level security functions. The 3rd Infantry unit was a highly disciplined outfit that held a dual role which included; maintaining Honor Guard and Drill and Ceremony proficiency. This unit also engaged in joint service operations with all other branches of the service. On May 30th 1986 I was honorably discharged.
