Contributed as a principal software engineer and director to multiple efforts throughout the asset management business, including trading, portfolio management, data management, and operations. While continuing to work as an individual contributor situationally, have taken on leadership of a team of developers supporting three distinct application areas.Notable efforts• Principal engineer for project to increase efficiency for tax-efficient portfolio management team via enhanced automation of the trading process. • Rescued struggling project to uplift a strategic research publishing application to AWS environment. Designed and built REST APIs. Designed publishing process using AWS Lambda to deliver data to multiple downstream consumers including Vendor APIs, Email gateway, and internal data lake.• Led a development effort to move a multi-strategy investment platform to a new order management system and trading platform. Designed and built an abstraction layer to decouple systems from the legacy platform to reduce program risk. Developed custom settlement process to support the tax-aware investment business. Coordinated extensive testing efforts with business teams in Portfolio Management, Trading and Operations. 2020 Chairman’s Award for Excellence received for this effort.• Led a technology team in a multi-year data warehouse effort. Acted as the primary liaison between the technology team and Risk Management team to identify and solve usability and performance issues. Acted as the architect for efforts to evolve the data model for changing requirements.• Led a team of developers to upgrade custom applications for enterprise Order Management System. Successfully delivered multiple applications within project deadlines. • Performed data modeling/development of a custom database schema and ETL framework to allow rapid conversion of the Quantitative Equity Research team to a new platform. Met aggressive timelines to avoid additional license expense.

Developed an algorithm and associated software to automatically invest/redeem client driven cash flows in fund of funds products. System processed ~$1B/month in client activity and reduced turnover in portfolios resulting in lower expenses for fund shareholders.Performed capability owner role for Quantitative Strategy technology applications. Managed incidents, worked with internal risk/audit groups to prepare application support team for annual audit activities.

Built software for backtesting equity alpha models and visualizing results. Created system for trading macro strategy (swaps, futures, ETFs). Created internal tools to monitor daily production cycle.
