Founded in 1981, the company sells a variety of natural personal care products including suncare products, moisturizers, bar and liquid soaps, shave creams, toothpaste, and shampoos and shower gels for adults and children.

Northwest Coatings was a $40 million leading developer and manufacturer of coatings and adhesives. Founded in 1970, Northwest manufactures high-quality specialty energy curable and water-based coatings and adhesives primarily to packaging and graphic arts customers across the country. The business was private equity owned and sold to Ashland Chemical in late 2006.

Charlesbank is a private equity investor focused on middle market companies. Developed and pursued several proprietary acquisition strategies for this large private equity fund which ultimately led to the acquisition of Northwest Coatings. Assisted in the evaluation and pursuit of several other potential acquisition candidates. Performed comprehensive business and financial due diligence and developed strategic and operation plans for the potential acquisition of a bankrupt label substrate manufacturer which was lost to the stalking horse bidder in bankruptcy court.

Alper Ink Group was a rapidly growing $180 million manufacturer of printing inks which operated through four divisions and 31 locations with over 700 employees. The business evolved from the acquisition of six companies and the start-up of two business units. Managed all financial and administrative functions and all lender relationships. Led the development of business and operational strategy, profitability enhancement and acquisition evaluation and integration. The business was privately owned and sold to Flint Ink in late 2000.

Bagcraft was a $150 million manufacturer of paper-based flexible packaging, including bags, sheets and wraps, for the fast food, bakery, microwave popcorn and other food service markets. Lead the acquisition of Arcar Graphics, a $7 million water-based ink company focused on the narrow-web label and packaging markets.

Boutique investment bank focused on buy-side engagements and capital raising in the smaller middle market.
