I love my job! How I long to say those words again. What is stopping you, you ask? First I need a job! One that will allow me the opportunity to learn and grow my skill set and that utilizes the skills and knowledge that I already possess. Yes, I have 32 years of experience with one company and the positions I may be seeking some would say that I am over qualified for and fear that I would leave for a better opportunity as soon as it showed up, but in reality that is not who I am. 32 years at one company is not someone who is a job hopper. I love to learn and entering a company at what some would say is below my level will provide me with the opportunity to learn the business hands on. As a seasoned professional you won’t need to hold my hand, I have the ability to think outside of the box and develop and propose solutions.I have a passion for creating financial forecast models that will predict what the future results may be. As the lead financial planning analyst I was able to see the big picture and develop a process that allowed the engineering and program management organizations to manage to with 2% of the AOP. In another role I developed a forecast model to provide the Vice President of Engineering insight into how and on what programs his engineering teams were working in order to compare that to what the business units were telling him his team was spending. I was able to develop these successful models because I took the time to look into the drivers and would be able to do this with my new employer but I will have to learn what the drivers are and what the past patterns have been.I am a hard worker who wants to make a difference and I will still have fun doing it.
