Corporate Controller
CurrentDevelop, improve, and issue timely monthly financial records for Program Management, Agency Leadership, and the Board of Directors.Ensure timely and proper month end and year end close procedures.Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, funder receivables, fixed asset records, general and entity accounting.Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls and checks across all departments.Interface with outside audit firm, banks and lessors, casualty/liability insurance agent(s), credit card companies, federal funders and other agencies.Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.Oversee the payroll department to ensure employees are reimbursed timely and accurately.Oversee the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.Ensure that quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations are completed.Maintain the chart of accounts.Manage accounting team of 6 individuals.
