• Daily Responsibilities : Supervising a staff off of 40 employees both in office staff and drivers• Day to day logistics planning while always having the customer as a priority.• Staying in touch with market rates on a day to day basis while negotiating the best rates for our customers in our brokerage department• Standard office responsibilities such as working with MS office, Outlook, Fleet Manager, Load-link and every province and states heavy vehicle use taxes.• Dealing with day to day US and CDN customs issues (ACI &ACE) as well as customs brokers• Taking disciplinary action against employees that break the law or company policy while maintaining high moral with our drivers and office staff.• Logbook auditing as well as following up on trip inspections and defects.• On call 24/7 for mechanical for both customer and equipment issues through Canada and the lower 48 states.• First contact for USDOT and CVOR audits and have sat through both in-house audits• Responsible for maintaining CTPAT, Smartway and CSA portals• Fleet licensing for both US and Canadian fleets through various IRP offices
