Beginning as a response officer answering 999 calls in a busy inner city South East London Borough I moved into firearms in 2004, initially as armed protection and then into armed response. Following extensive experience as an armed response officer dealing with high risk operations against armed criminality from 2008 to 2017 when I became a National Firearms Instructor, passing on my experience to officers on initial courses and those already qualified requiring regular refresher courses.
