As a national market sector leader in the Burns & McDonnell Environmental Services Global Practice, I bring nearly 30 years of experience in the environmental consulting field and specialize in the solid waste and resource recovery for local, state and federal governments. To promote sound and practical solutions, I have directed the development of numerous waste characterization studies to establish program baselines and assisted in developing implementation plans to achieve measurable solid waste and recycling program objectives. Specifically, my work has focused on integrated solid waste management planning, planning and implementation of materials recovery programs, procurement of services to foster public-private partnerships, and overall environmentally beneficial, cost-effective waste management programs. My legal training enables me to grasp complex statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as balance public policy, environmental, and economic issues to formulate creative solutions. I also offer extensive public engagement and facilitation skills to foster decision-making related to environmental and renewable energy-related issues.
