As an intern at Europe Economics, I contributed to cost-benefit analyses on European Commission regulations related to financial benchmarks, securities financing transactions and payment systems. Most of my work consisted of reviewing European Commission regulatory text, European Securities and Market Authority regulatory technical standards and the responses to proposed regulatory standards by invested market participants. My work required me to create effective summaries for analysts to highlight potential incremental costs borne by market participants by additional regulatory technical standards. This work required a great deal of critical reading of regulatory texts and market participant responses.Further work included compiling reports and data from Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word documents into presentation materials. This work required a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
