Dallas/Fort Worth Area

There are two areas of coverage for my group – Managing the turbine, pump, and mechanical engineers employees, the equipment repair engineers, and CBM specialist (7 total employees). Duties include [1] provide deep expertise on plant equipment function and performance, [2] serve as owner of the maintenance basis for assigned equipment, [3] provide verbal and written recommendations to management regarding equipment risk and operation. [4] evaluate equipment performance with respect to maintenance basis, function within system, and plant reliability, [5] recommend improvements to maintenance basis, [6] provide equipment problem resolution expertise and support, and [7] lead root cause analysis on plant equipment and systems. The equipment repair engineers manage various projects through vendor shops, provide technical support, and make refurbishment recommendations. Area of coverage includes Turbine and turbine auxiliaries, pumps (boiler feed, condensate, circulating water pump, etc.), fans, feedwater and condensate systems, and rotating equipment in general.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

As Manager of Equipment Repair, I supervise 6 equipment repair specialists and the ERC Machine Shop. The group is responsible for the refurbishment and modification of major power plant equipment. In this endeavor, the specialists manage various projects through vendor shops, provide technical support, and make refurbishment recommendations. The group manages about 300+ projects per year. I am also the Luminant representative to the PDOC and ERPI Program 65. I have also initiated numerous technical training session for Luminant.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

As Manager of Component Engineering, I supervised the electrical and mechanical component engineers. The duties of this group includes [1] provide deep expertise on plant equipment function and performance, [2] serve as owner of the maintenance basis for assigned equipment, [3] provide verbal and written recommendations to management regarding equipment risk and operation. [4] evaluate equipment performance with respect to maintenance basis, function within system, and plant reliability, [5] recommend improvements to maintenance basis, [6] provide equipment problem resolution expertise and support, and [7] lead root cause analysis on plant equipment and systems.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

I was responsible for providing comprehensive management over repairs and modifications of equipment in vendor facilities and specialized on-site work for the Fossil Generation plants. My work included [1] providing in-depth expertise for repairs and modification on major critical equipment, [2] managing cost, schedule, and quality, and [3] performing technical commercial evaluations. This is to insure the desired unit availability, cost effectiveness, and quality work are achieved. I provided these services through vendors, original equipment manufacturers, and service providers. Equipment I managed included turbine components, generator rotor rewinds, boiler feed pumps, vertical pumps, combustion turbine components, gear reducers, and fans.
