Working at Honest Finance was a chance to learn about a new sector of administration. During my time there i have learnt about the mortgage process and the requirements needed to successfully gain a mortgage. I have developed the ability to speak to various types of mortgage lender (both high street and non high street) to discuss underwriting requirements and submit documents for underwriting, and various solicitors to get updates on cases at various stages and to assist them when i can. I would also contact client to request documents needed and to update them on their current application status.I had a large responsibility in regards to compliance and checking files to ensure they were ready for audit and that we had all the documents needed when we would submit cases to our Mortgage Network for checking.

This entails marketing across the whole business including website maintenance, keeping the social media up to date, producing marketing and e-marketing materials, producing ID cards and business cards and liaising with outside companies any information I can give them in regards to updating our websites. Whilst I am currently an administrator I have been uploading timesheets of clients taking part in the CWP programme, compliance checked to see if they meet contract requirements, contact jobcentres to get updated information on clients and assist in completing a daily tracker showing which clients have attended and which have not.

As an Employer Relationship Manager I contacted existing apprenticeship seekers if we had sourced positions suitable for them, arranged interviews between employers and the seekers, kept an up to date spreadsheet of where our current apprentices are placed and who are still available, advertised apprenticeships on the National apprenticeship website (NAS) and logged in everyday to see if we had any new applications, sent out job descriptions to Urban Futures staff so they can advertise it to their clients looking for work, pre-screen/phone interviewed clients, attended job fairs to represent the company and what it can offer jobseekers. While as an ERM I had the pleasure to assist Manchester Airport Group in placing apprentices in to their first ever apprenticeship drive at Stansted Airport. I have also taken on the role of marketing for the company.

Responsibilities whilst on compliance included keeping an up to date spreadsheet tracking all clients that participate in a training course from their initial contact right up to 12 weeks after completion, registering clients on the EDI and LANTRA education system, ordering certificates and CSCS cards for completers, checking paperwork before submitting to the colleges and keeping a good rapport with college staff during the duration of contract with them. Liaising with the DWP in regards to CWP. Performing general office duties such as; scanning, copying, answering the phone, transferring calls, taking referrals, collecting and sorting incoming mail, franking outgoing mail, greeting clients and visitors and assisting other staff members with their tasks if needed.
