Participated in mechanistic studies investigating the method of action of trophic milk bioactive proteins as a member of the Discovery Technologies Group. Specific work was done on characterizing the enzymatic activity of milk fractions to determine its possible role in inducing cell proliferation. These enzymology experiments were done in conjugation with microscopy and cell culture experiments quantifying the level of proliferation by developing a real time cell assay on the Roche xCELLigence system. The results were then verified using a WST-1 assay.
