Demand Planning Manager

Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom

I work in a team of 5 Customer Demand Planners who report into the Lead Demand Planner. Currently demand planning for Morrison’s and the Discounter channels and previously worked on the Asda account. I lead weekly calls aligning our forecasts with our customers, identifying customer trends and use the online portal tools provided to collate all Epos and stock positioning data to advise the Business Account manager of our current monthly positions. I work closely with the Sales team to provide snapshot of potential stock ops while keeping my monthly targets in check.

Supply Chain Manager

Dunstable, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom

Supply Chain Manager dealing with core American confectionary, groceries and beverages.I managed a team of 5 ensuring the end to end of each customer order is processed and delivered at the correct price within the companies and customers agreed time frame given.I developed and overviewed the companies forecast plan, for the whole business across 1500 sku’s based on previous sales trends, forward forecasts and seasonality, the added calculations based on product lead times coming over from the USA. I use sales analysis data from SAP, transfer and manipulate the data into user friendly pivot tables on excel.I use SAP on a daily basis to show our current stock status reports, when stock is due to land at port, stock committed on customer orders. I create sales analysis report, produce production requests, stock reports, stock posting request and transfers stock between warehouses.I work with a multitude of customers, such multiples as Sainsbury’s, Tesco’s, Asda and Morrison’s but also Discounters such as B&M, Poundland and Poundworld. Each customer has its own complexities and we adhere to their standards and ways of working.I work with the Head of Supply Chain to plan our weekly production plan based on production availability.I pride myself on giving the customer as much information as possible regarding product availability to improve our inbound service levels. By providing valid out of stock reasons and switch back on ordering dates I can manage each customers inbound service level and report these to my manager. Each customer has their own online portals to help provide me with vital business information regarding sales data, forward forecast, product data, inbound service levels and any business updates. I use this data to produce reports for the business and send to the commercial managers.

Supply Chain Coordinator - World Food Category

Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom

I was brought into the World Food Category due to my high levelled knowledge of how the fresh network worked, my keen eye for detail at an analytical level and my ability to coach suppliers to deliver exceptional service to improve customer availability. I believe if you can get the inbound service running accurately the rest of the supply chain should fall in line and be on the shelf for the customer.Tesco’s has 50+ suppliers within the World Food category, each having their own complexities and own ways of working. In order to improve each suppliers inbound service level I would set up face to face meetings at their operation sites, understand their methods and then be able to translate their methods into a Tesco format that can work for both parties.Measuring suppliers performance was also an important factor as this had never been done before and making suppliers aware of their own performance is very important in improving the inbound service level. I would send out reports to each supplier showing week on week inbound service, year or year performance, promotional and all year round forecasts to ensure we had the stock in our depots at the right time ready for store launches.I would hold bi weekly meetings with my category manager was also key to the success of the category growth, this ensured my work was on the correct path and he was happy with my personal performance. He would also provide me with guidance and knowledge to help me deliver my resultsAt the end of each quarter the team would report our category performance to the director of supply chain and working on next steps to drive the category to the next level In the first 6 months I improved inbound service from 47% to 93%.

May 2014 - Nov 2015

Project Manager

Cheshunt

I joined the stockless project, in collaboration with Walkers crisps in one depot and Proctor & Gamble in one depot. My job role included, looking after the order quantities, suppliers receiving there order number correctly. Ensuring the set up of all products are correct, making sure the lead time is correct and the suppliers receive weekly forecast reports.Since the start of this project Walkers are now live in 9 depots and Proctor & Gamble in 3 depots including ROI. With the success of this project, I was given the project of combined ordering for companies that deliver stock to store via Merchandising Units as well as palletised stock to help reduce order volumes and also reduce the number of trucks being ordered per week. I launched this project with companies like Kellogg’s, Weetabix, Silverspoon, Tate & Lyle, Heinz and Coke Cola.As part of the Proctor & Gamble stockless team we scoped an award at the IGD award Going forward with the stockless project I develop a specific criteria to identify any future potential suppliers, two new suppliers on board at the start of 2014.My last project I was working as part of the stock reduction plan team based in our flag ship store. My role was reviewing store over stocks, identifying how the over stock occurred, coaching individuals on how to not make the errors again and provide an exit plan for the excessive stock. Daily meeting and reports would be held with our work level 3 to show our findings and exit plans for the errors.

Store Ordering Co-Ordinator

Welwyn Garden City / Cheshunt

Worked as part of a team of 8. Majority of my job would involve manipulating data on excel spreadsheets, that could be applied on the TESCO system. The team would also manage the set up of any new stores. After proving I could handle this on a daily basis, I was selected to look after the in store demonstrations account. This job would involve liaising with an external third party and suppliers, agreeing dates and volumes for in store demonstrations, setting up allocations, running excel scripts and spreadsheets and identifying and root causing reasons for allocations not turning up.I also successfully completed the outside store demonstrations for all Tesco stores along the Olympic torch route.I have a very keen eye for detail and with this skill I was chosen to be in charge of the Christmas transmission for the whole of our fresh department.
