Over the last twenty-plus years in sourcing and negotiation my history of successful projects across virtually all commodity fields including consulting to a range of managed services, medical equipment to computing devices, software from training solutions to full scale corporate and clinical platforms. My role has expanded over the years to the point that I have been the top competitive process advisor in the organization for the last decade, covering risk/vendor management, best practice and contract negotiations for AHS while running my own Center of Excellence (COE) team and serving on various steering committees. It is my great pleasure and privilege to mentor and work alongside a high performing team of Senior Sourcing Leads and Advisors forming the Strategic and Major Procurement Initiatives Center of Excellence (COE). My team has a range of roles from developing best practice, creating and maintaining templates for all our contracting/sourcing teams, to planning and delivering monthly training sessions for the 100+ CPSM staff in procurement and sourcing related roles as well as managing our Sourcing Enablement Platform for AHS. When we are not busy with that, we lead the bulk of the largest value and most complex competitive processes going to market for AHS. A few personal highlights from my career:> Managed an Inter-Provincial Collaboration for the procurement of Linear Accelerators to the benefit of cancer care across 9 provinces for which I was asked to speak at the HSCN conference for 2016. The project drove savings utilizing order of magnitude across several provinces, benefiting all members.> Lead a strategic RFP & negotiation of the AHS Provincial Clinical Information System, the outcome being the primary contract within the Albertan Provincial Connect Care Program forming the backbone of clinical medical records in Alberta. Gartner published a case study of in 2024 after the final successful Acute Care site implementation of the software platform across the entire province. > Lead several sourcing projects resulting in savings in the tens of millions of dollars each culminating in many unique and innovative partnerships which continue to support AHS its Affiliates today.> Developed several innovations to sourcing practice including, Best and Final Offers, Expedited Collaborative RFP framework as well as ESG guidance.
