Architectural Technologist

• Initially taken on as a Trainee Designer but quickly promoted to a Designer after showing my potential & exceeding expectations. • I complete site consultations/surveys to identify the most suitable solution for our customer's projects and allow them to envision the potential. • A key part of my role is to understand my customers’ requirements and then translate that into a sketch to allow them to visualise their project.• Post-survey, I draw up the results from the survey and from this, complete a selection of final drawings for the customer to choose from.• Drawing up the structural drawings which are then checked over and amended if necessary by a Structural Engineer• Completion of drawings in order to gain approval from the council to ensure compliance.• I also complete a full set of drawings for the builders to use on site.• Software packages used include: AutoCAD 2019 LT & Some experience with AutoCAD 2020 using 3D.

• Started as a Sales Consultant and received back to back promotions to Costing & IT Support whilst still fulfilling sales duties when necessary.• Costing responsibilities for a team of 8 sales people, whilst managing IT Support across 4 locations.• Checking sales teams drawings and jobs by ensuring effective pricing, adjusting where necessary to ensure profitable sales.• Put together price lists for manufacturers and adjusted existing ones to reflect changes.• Created an online price list for the business that enabled sales people to access current pricing and carry out calculations whilst with customers. This enabled our sales team to provide a better service and increased their productivity.

• Spent 1 year as a Self Employed Plasterer / Painter & Decorator.• Took on a variety of different contracts, working on a wide range ofprojects• Completed a Plastering course during this time and increased mygeneral knowledge in these areas

• Sales and customer service based role, approaching customers andactively selling our products and services• Responsible for achieving KPI’s and sales targets. Main duties were tosell mobile phone contracts / pay as you go handsets with attachmentssuch as insurance, home broadband, mobile broadband, cases, memorycards and more• Responsible for the shop floor which involved motivating the team tomeet and exceed targets, running incentives to promote excellentperformance, training advisors to an extremely high standard andoverseeing the shop floor, being ready to answer questions and helpSales Advisors close deals• Running of the store during the absence of the Store Manager. Myduties included opening and closing the store, banking, staffmanagement, store merchandising, managing stock control, staffrotas, liaising with regional management via conference calls andemail and running staff meetingI then moved onto another store to assist a manager new to the company and after passing on the knowledge necessary to her I moved Onto another store to be second in charge and help the manager in the day to day running of the store, and to make sure we stay on track for target when the manager is away.

• Junior CAD Technician for a Civil Engineering firm.• Visiting building sites to collect samples, arranging visits via sitemanagers and solely responsible for drawings using AutoCAD 2004,2007 & 2008
