My first role at Johnson & Johnson introduced me to the world of validation and I began to hone my Quality expertise as I drilled into the requirements set by international regulatory bodies such as Health Canada, FDA, EU, WHO, ISO etc.In this role I was responsible for management of the Master Validation plan (MVP) and ensuring our validation efforts were accurate and met current regulatory requirements and specifications. This included the entire validation ecosphere from Design Qualification (DQ), Facility Commissioning , Process and Equipment Qualifications (IQ-OQ-PQ), Cleaning Validation and Computer Validation. Significant outcomes of this role included the complete revision of our Test Protocols to align with new best practices, multiple new product/product variation validations and Validation of the Paperless Laboratory and Manufacturing Systems.

In this position I was responsible for management and oversight of the Quality Assurance team. Performing regular intervals of product quality tests and in-process checks to ensure product compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).This role was inclusive of production document reviews, in-process testing data and product release with sign-off of Certificates of Analysis (COA). Challenges within this role included employee turnover and people development,Out of Specification (OOS) investigations and product non-conformance and Quality Notifications.
