The municipal executive committee has the overall responsibility to lead and control the operations of the municipality. Lomma kommun has a turnover of about 1,6 billion Swedish crowns and about 1500 employees.

The committee has the responsibility for preschool, elementary school, gymnasium, adult education and the cost/meals unit. The committee had, 2016, operational cost corresponding to about 800 million crowns and about 1000 employees. 2016 Lomma kommun was appointed the best school municipality in Sweden the union Lärarnas Riksförbund.

Consultancy assignments focused on executive education programmes, lectures and research-based investigations/action research. Some examples are:5 Executive MBA programmes at Lund University/EFL, each running for 18 months.4 programmes for middle managers within the Swedish Police force, each running for about 2 years and including about 25 managers.A one year programme for about 40 high potentials (younger managers) within Epsilon.A one year programme for head teachers within ThorenGruppen.A handful shorter programmes for managers within the Primary care in Skåne; the county councils of Västra Götaland, Halland and Skåne; Fordonsdata. After finishing my PhD dissertation, under the supervision of Prof Mats Alvesson and Prof Lars Bengtsson, on the topic of middle managerial learning, I have published on the topic of leadership, managerial work, professionalism, organizational learning, school management and functional stupidity. Taught students on all levels within the field of organization theory (leadership, managerial work, organizational change, organizational culture and control, learning in organizations, knowledge work, learning in organizations).I have been assigned to conduct a number of action research reports. One example is assessing the organizational preconditions for heart transplantation for the National board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen). Another is an action research report for the Government Offices of Sweden (Regeringskansliet) concerning social work/care in relation to kids and youths.I am currently on a leave of abscence.

Was asked to start up and be the first managing director of a university owned consultancy firm. Lund University Experts AB offered research-based consultancy services at market rates to the private and public sectors. The overall mission was to strengthen the competitiveness of the clients and increase the exchange between the University and companies/public agencies.One of the assignments that was carried through was an open innovation project in partnership with Axis related to making use of cameras in elderly care.

I was part of the management team at and responsible for the administrative and IT staff at the Department of Business Administration.

Was asked to start up a branch in the Öresund region for Stockholm School Economics Executive Education.

I started my career in executive education at MiL Institute, first as a trainee followed by assignments as coach and programme director. I was mainly involved in a partner programme for senior managers from ABB, Sydkraft, IKEA, The county council of Stockholm, Tetra Pak and SEB, and a similar programme for younger managers.
