Kent IT was a SMB support / consultancy company which Robert founded with 2 other support-focused individuals in 2002. His expertise in delivering cost-effective, stable and serviceable customer focused solutions for clients led to the company managing and supporting over 600 business by the end of 2008.At which point he then started developing the groundwork for Custodian, when Kent IT then had around 12 permanent employees. Robert then sold the business to Easy Group in 2010 and shifted his focus full-time to launching Custodian.

TCS was a small IT and web-design company which was the first opportunity for Robert to start to learn and develop his Windows server and networking skills. He was a mobile engineer and quickly moved up to the level of senior engineer and became responsible for the design and implementation of all new customers installations. As well as offering advanced 3rd line support for the other engineers when required.

After initially completing a 6 month out-sourced contract, Robert was taken on full-time as the sole IT engineer at the University of Kent’s Medway campus. Responsible for the delivery of all IT learning systems and training center networks.
