I worked at BAC for an industrial placement at university, while I was at the company my role contained varied work to be performed due to the small nature of the company. I worked as a support role in investigations on areas of the vehicle which failed, quantified the reason for failure on the suspected part to see if the part was a one off failure or production line issue. If the part was a production line failure I would resolve the issue by looking at the technical drawings, how the part was manufactured, materials, etc. Finding a solution to the problem, contacting the supplier about the solution, updating the technical drawing and other documentation.My role also included helping out with other work such as hospitality for guests, cleaning the vehicles, helping with the factory move, collection of parts and various smaller jobs.
