Adjoin is a Not-For-Profit 501(c) (3) corporation committed to the success of the individuals we serve. Adjoin provides services and advocacy for people with disabilities and Veterans. We serve more than 1400 clients annually throughout the state ranging in age from 18 to 83 years. Our fundamental goal is to help people achieve a higher quality of life. We provide a continuum of services ranging from employment services, living services to crisis services for clients. Most of our services are provided on a one-to-one basis in the community: at the job and in the home. You will find us involved in such diverse areas as mental health support, recreation, client advocacy, education, health care support, housing, and employment. We assist our clients to be productive citizens by providing a living and work environment where they feel challenged, respected, and accountable as they strive to meet the demands of life. We have a staff of approximately 325 employees, all who play a vital role in the organization. Although our individual and professional experience is wide, the common thread throughout all of our services is our aim to transform lives. Robert Wilson was a partner in the San Diego office of Fisher Phillips where he handled multi-party complex and class action litigation throughout the State of California, including leading the defense of wage-and-hour class actions, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions and other labor and employment law claims. He is an experienced litigator who focused on fighting for his clients’ rights. Robert routinely represented clients in “bet the company” wage-and-hour class and PAGA actions involving claims of unpaid overtime, meal period and rest break violations, failure to reimburse business expenses, failure to pay minimum wages, regular rate of pay issues and misclassification of employees.Robert also regularly performed workplace investigations and employee interviews on behalf of Human Resources and employers providing them with a detailed legal analysis of the facts, evidence and potential exposure while providing early resolution strategies. He also provided compliance advice and audits and executive training. Robert routinely represented employers in both state and federal court as well as before state and federal agencies, such as the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH).

Robert extensively litigated dozens of civil actions involving personal injury, product liability, business liability and disputes, labor and employment law and maritime personal injury. He was involved in all aspects of litigation including, but not limited to, client interaction, written discovery, depositions, law and motion practice, attending court hearings, mediations, performing trial preparation and he co-chaired several trials with empaneled juries to verdict.
