I ensured adherence and compliance to state and federal laws, policies and regulations for INDOT and INDOT partner projects in the Greenfield District. I was responsible for preparing and reviewing environmental documents in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), INDOT and other applicable.

I identified ecologically significant and/or regulated resources in and near INDOT project sites, and secured permits from state, local, and federal regulatory agencies for impacts to these resources. I managed a Clean Water Act - Section 319(h) project, which included a cost-share program promoting BMP implementation on agricultural land, coordinated water quality monitoring at 14 sites in the watershed, and provided education and outreach for the Upper Wabash Watershed.

This included electroshock sampling for the fishes community assessment, kick nets for macro invertebrate community assesssment, water chemistry sampling and habitat evaluation.

I participated in heron nest counts, bird survey, snake PIT tagging and radiotelemetry of bat roosting sites.
