SUMMARYMy role on the Overwatch team initially had me overseeing third party tournaments, and launching my own product, an in-person fan experience initiative known as Flash Ops. Since March, I've transitioned to overseeing global publishing strategy and activations for Overwatch Esports. RESPONSIBILITIES- Overwatch Esports content strategy and brand management- Overseeing tournament requests and relationships between third party North American tournament organizers and Overwatch Esports leadership- The creation, creative vision, and execution of the Overwatch Path to Pro Twitter channel, which serves as the global communications hub for Open Division, Contenders Trials, Contenders, Flash Ops, and the Overwatch World Cup.- The creation, creative vision, and execution of Flash Ops, an in-person fan experience program built around Overwatch. Flash Ops currently runs in North America, Thailand, and Japan.- Managing communications and negotiations with partner organizations looking to be involved with the Flash Ops program.- Creating editorial content around Overwatch Esports. - Serving as broadcast talent for World of Warcraft Dungeon Racing as well as broadcast talent for Overwatch Esports.- Coordinating with regional offices to create communication plans for Overwatch Esports programs.

SUMMARYMy time as an Associate Esports Talent Manager required flexibility, drive, and a willingness to wear many different hats based on the needs of the five different franchises within our department. In this role I was able to leverage experience as both broadcast talent and a Community Manager. I continued act as broadcast talent, which led to opportunities for me to travel to both Europe and Asia.RESPONSIBILITIES- Facilitating open communication channels between Blizzard Entertainment and third party broadcast talent- Providing developmental feedback to broadcast talent, both internal and external- Planning and executing broadcast talent training events- Offering creative insight pertaining to program design- Providing broadcast commentary on Hearthstone/Warcraft Esports broadcasts in North America, Europe, and, for about 45 minutes, Asia.- Building and managing relationships with broadcast talent- Developing broadcast talent identification/improvement programs such as So You Think You Can Cast- Researching Blizzard Esports scenes in order to create research packets for broadcast talent to utilize during shows

SUMMARYMy first role at Blizzard Entertainment was with the Community Development team. Coming on at the assistant level, my initial responsibility was figuring out where I could best apply my skills to benefit the team. After on-boarding, my focus was split between Hearthstone Esports, creative initiatives centered around set announcement and release, and overseeing our young social media channels. I later went on to serve as broadcast talent for Hearthstone Esports initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES- Working with talented graphic designers to come up with media assets designed to drive engagement through entertainment- Providing broadcast commentary for Hearthstone esports events, such as the Hearthstone World Championship, and the Tespa Collegiate Series.- Crafting a wide array of blogs, ranging from informational, to themed, to community focused- Writing copy for YouTube videos, Facebook, Twitter, and our Twitch channel- Working alongside the Blizzard Esports team to plan narrative driven esports content (Written, and video) for white label events- Developing and managing relationships with top tier Hearthstone players- Creating show overviews for (and hosting) streams on Twitch.tv to promote and reveal upcoming Hearthstone content- Regular meetings with Hearthstone's core design and development team to meaningfully deliver player feedback

During my tenure at the fansite BlizzPro, I spent the majority of my time acting as Site Manager for the Hearthstone portal. There, I wrote the scripts for a Hearthstone comic of my own creation, was a regular host on the HearthPro Show podcast, and created regular digital content for the site. I covered additional games as well (most notably Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft) and managed a team of five other writers.

As an intern with USA Today's HOOPSWORLD, I spent the majority of my time transcribing interviews for staff writers, as well as attending Orlando Magic games where I'd frequent the locker rooms, acting as an assistant during interviews. Towards the end of my tenure with the site, I did a small amount of writing.
