In summers 2008 and 2010, supervised youth volunteers conducting surveys as part of a study of community needs in advance of a neighborhood stabilization project. Worked to adapt a survey instrument designed by NeighborWorks America for local usage; cooperated with local government to generate sample; recruited and oversaw youth volunteers; conducted surveys.

As part of a team of students enrolled in Wesleyan’s Community Research Seminar, designed and implemented a study evaluating the financial impact of serving non-profits on Middletown’s fire departments on behalf of the Fire Safety Cost Committee of the Middletown Common Council.
