This role was created to support the development of the newly formed Divisional structure for Facultative business across Asia. In this role I was accountable for standardising both processes and use of internal service providers across all underwriting desks in Asia, for Property & Casualty Facultative Underwriting, while simultaneously developing & implementing process & system efficiency gains. This included managing the use of Swiss Re's online placement tool SwiftRe, improving and managing risk compliance controls, and representing Asia on global projects with a mandate to develop smart and lean underwriting approaches and systems to be utilised globally.

I was promoted into the role of Associate Underwriter in 2007, and developed into a Level 2 Underwriter over the years that followed through internal training and mentorship.I was responsible for underwriting and administrating property risks, from small to large individual risks, large national and global accounts, and government portfolios. This included the creation and monitoring of many facility arrangements. Further I was responsible for managing and developing client market relationships.I was also accountable for the development and management of the Swiss Re online trading platform, SwiftRe, with a mandate to grow the volume of automatic business placed via this avenue. This included ongoing system development, marketing, demonstrations, training, underwriting referrals, portfolio analysis and reporting, and undertaking client audits. A unique achievement during this time was the development of an Excel based VB tool that has since been utilised by all Property Underwriters globally. I received an internal GEM award due to demonstrating an innovative & creative approach to finding solutions.

After achieving all the previous role was established for, I moved into the role of Property Facultative Assistant, within the same Business Services team. In this role I was responsible for the administration of the Property Single Risk Portfolio.I became well known for developing new ways to assist the Underwriters to reduce their admin burden, while maintaining the highest level of support at all times, which led to the offer to move into the Underwriting team & develop as an Underwriter in 2007.

I was hired into the role of Middle Office Liaison Officer at Swiss Re, to create & document the processes that would be followed, for the processing of technical accounts once shifted to an offshore processing centre in Bangalore, India. This was achieved so quickly I was awarded my first GEM award at Swiss Re, stating I had enthusiastically found new ways to improve workflows, generate new ideas, and had been a driving force in implementation.

Core responsibility was to manage client relationships, selling & facilitating Deakin University online learning opportunities for client's staff, dealing mostly with HR representatives.During my time there I developed more efficient processes and documentation that helped all Client Managers better organise and manage their time.
