In the Air Force, I was an Aircraft Guidance and Control Systems Specialist. That entailed Aircraft Instruments, Autopilot, and Inertial Navigation Systems. Aircraft Instruments includes: altimeters, ADI, fuel qty, engine instruments (egt, n1 and n2 tachometers, epr, oil qty, pressure, and temperature), plus other miscellaneous gauges in the flight deck. After 20 years of this, I retired in May 2011. I was hired at AAR Oklahoma City in November 2011 as a R/E technician. Within a couple of years I was promoted to R/E Lead and picked up supervisory duties in addition to my regular technician duties. As an R/E, I work on pretty much anything with wires going to it. I perform modifications, service bulletins, and c-checks on aircraft ranging from Bombardier CRJ-200, McDonnell/Douglas MD-80s, Boeing 737NG's and Max's.
