Second in charge of a dispatch shift or in charge of the shift in the absence of the Shift Supervisor. While acting as Shift Supervisor, responsible for: directing telecommunicator's assignments and ensuring application of policy and procedure, coordination of scheduling, fielding questions from the media, and communicating with outside agencies. Also retains the responsibilities of a Telecommunicator I on a day-to-day basis.

Responsible for receiving, processing, and dispatching request for emergency services via radio and telephone communications. Maintains tracking and status of all emergency services resources within the jurisdiction while on duty.
