About Robert Young
I have been a gamer all of my life, and when I was presented with the chance, I took the fantastic opportunity to be able to take that passion further, and create a career within content creation. Growing up with the rise of Youtube with media such as Red vs Blue from Rooster Teeth, one of my earliest memories of watching Youtube, to the rise of Twitch and the increasing acceptance of Video Gaming and Esports into the mainstream media has been incredibly worthwhile, and something I am proud to have been a part of.However my true passion lies with the people that I discover playing the games, as much as the games themselves. Friendships forged over years within video games have really pushed my passion for moving into a position that directly involves working with a community, either directly, or with influencers.I am a very motivated individual, able to work to any schedule set in front of me, and drive towards any target. Additionally, my work within my community of about 50 thousand people, split between Youtube, Twitch and Discord means I spend a lot of time moderating, taking part in dispute resolution and dealing with issues if and when they arrive.I've also been able to see the point of view of the content creator when liaising with community teams, and feel that experience would be incredibly useful in a community focused role.
