Boston Police Officer and Detective for 33 years, having worked in a patrol capacity, both uniformed and plainclothes. Rated Detective in 1998 assigned to Area B2 and B3, two of the busiest districts in the City of Boston. Assigned to conduct general investigations such as robberies, burglaries and aggravated assaults. Later, as a detective, I served in the Gang Unit, specializing in outlaw motorcycle gangs, street level gangs, firearm related investigations involving the purchasing and recovery of illegal firearms with federal agencies, particularly the ATF and FBI, executing search warrants, controlled buys and working with informants.I was then reassigned to the Drug Control Unit, where we conducted investigations and surveillance and prepared search warrants to interrupt and curtail drug trafficking, purchase sales and manufacturing of drugs. I am currently assigned to the BPD Homicide Unit, investigating homicides, suspicious deaths, SIDS deaths, unexplained deaths, cold case investigations, additionally we respond to and investigate the discharge of firearms of officer involved shootings and deaths.
