Nuclear Machinist Mate

As a Nuclear Machinist's Mate aboard the submarine USS Cheyenne, my duties included the safe operation, corrective, and preventative maintenance of equipment in the nuclear engine room. My day to day responsibilities as a Engine Room Supervisor, included supervising steam plant operations, trend analysis of machinery, administrative audits, and troubleshooting. As a highly motivated individual, I was certified in quality assurance as a Reactor Plant Cleanliness Inspector, Steam Plant Cleanliness Inspector, High Pressure Air Compressor Technician, R-114 Refrigeration Technician, EPA 608 Universal, Gage Calibration Technician as well as Lathe Operator. My additional areas of expertise include, steam turbines, reverse osmosis units, oil systems, and compressed air systems. I no longer work aboard the USS Cheyenne, but working with the US Navy has provided me with many useful skills that will make me a valuable asset for my future employer and for my own personal growth.
