While leading local and national teams, I’ve noted the demonstrable difference in impact between teams that talk about core audiences instead of fostering real, reciprocal relationships with the individuals they so passionately seek to serve. Genuinely engaging with the entire range of community voices is complex, messy, and challenging. I’m passionate about navigating the spaces where leadership and the public meet. I believe in amplifying and actively supporting marginalized communities, listening to understand the people who see things differently than me, and strategically building policies to ensure equitable student outcomes.
