Profile bio

About Roberta Dayrell

I am a Plant Biologist with a deep interest in the field of plant ecology and physiology. I have a passion for understanding plant reproduction, especially in harsh and nutrient poor environments, and how this knowledge can be applied in maintaining the natural environment around us, in restoring degraded areas and improving current human practices. My master’s thesis focused on the ecological and evolutionary aspects of seed dormancy and viability. My PhD research has centred on leaf traits, function and plant interactions in phosphorus-impoverished landscapes across different developmental stages. I also have experience with technical execution and coordination of environmental studies for impact assessments.
